They joined 350 Rovers from all across Australia competing across the weekend for the coveted title of Best Crew. Some of the stunts included first aid, a 90s Pop Quiz, traversing a floor of lava, and orienteering, with a twist.
The twist being that the course wasn't set up right, and we got double points for searching out the missing targets and putting them in the right spot. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to get us over the line for Best Out of Region Crew.
NSW Rovers generally have their Crews run events instead of special subcommittees - Brush Park won the right to operate this year's Region Moot by winning Best Crew at the 2013 event. Moot Chief Jamie Ride and her Crew put on a great event, despite continual rain and the event that ballooning to 3.5 times it's usual size - which just proves that #thereaintnopartylikeaBPRCparty.
As well as running the event itself, Brush Park also took fantastic care of around 40 interstate Rovers, organising tents, airport transfers and amazing catering. Erin Slaviero, is also to be congratulated for making the Victorian Contingent happen.
If you are looking for a Moot between Surfmoot and Moistmoot for 2015, you should definitely check out Sydney North's next Summermoot.
